Traditional Services
Honoring Life with Dignity, Tradition, and Personal Touch
At Loudon Funeral Home, we are committed to helping families select meaningful and affordable traditional funeral services that reflect the life and legacy of their loved one. As Loudon’s only family-owned funeral home, we take pride in offering compassionate guidance and flexible options tailored to your family’s needs and wishes.
What Are Traditional Funeral Services?
Traditional services typically include three main components:
Visitation or Viewing
Funeral Service
Graveside Service or Committal
These elements provide a time for family and friends to come together, share memories, and begin the healing process. Whether you choose a full traditional service or a simpler graveside ceremony, our staff is here to guide you every step of the way.
Visitation
The visitation is a special time for family and friends to come together in remembrance. At Loudon Funeral Home, we can help you create a meaningful and personalized experience through:
- Tribute videos and slideshows
- Displaying cherished photographs or memorabilia
- Showcasing hobbies, awards, uniforms, or personal items
- Floral arrangements and themed decor
- Memory tables or guest books for attendees to share thoughts
Our goal is to provide a supportive environment that encourages healing while honoring the story of your loved one’s life.
Funeral Service
A funeral service is a formal ceremony to honor your loved one’s life. This can be held at our funeral home chapel, your place of worship, or another meaningful location. Funeral services can include:
- Scripture readings or meaningful passages
- Eulogies from family and friends
- Live or recorded music
- Participation by religious or spiritual leaders
- Military honors, if applicable
Our team will coordinate every detail to ensure a respectful and dignified experience for all in attendance.
Graveside Service
The graveside service is a final tribute held at the burial site. This more intimate ceremony may follow a funeral service or serve as the primary service. Graveside services often include:
- Committal prayers or readings
- Final words from clergy or loved ones
- Military honors, if applicable
- Placement of flowers or mementos by family and friends
We work with local cemeteries across Loudon and surrounding counties to make this moment as meaningful and seamless as possible.
