Samuel “Roy” Brandon, age 89 of Paint Rock, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. He retired from the United States Army and spent 46 years as a volunteer fireman for South Roane County Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Wildwood Church in Paint Rock.
Roy is preceded in death by a son, Samuel R. Brandon Jr.; parents, Samuel and Cora Brandon and infant twin brothers. He is survived by his wife, Linda Brandon; children, Paul Brandon and wife Brandy, Jerome Brandon and John Brandon; grandchildren, David Allard, Coralie Brandon and Liam Colyer; sister, Pearl Lewis and husband Earl.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 5 PM -7 PM at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Neil Turner and Rev. Michael Britton officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Wildwood Church Cemetery in Paint Rock.
