Wilma White

March 11, 1941 — November 14, 2017

Wilma Mincy White, age 76, passed away November 14, 2017 at Wood Village Nursing Home in Sweetwater, after a battle with Alzheimer disease. She was a wonderful Christian mother and a loving and caring Nana. She babysit for many children over the years and she loved to sew and listen to gospel music. She was a member of Gregory Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon White; father and mother, Will G. and Juanita Mincy; brother, Darrell Mincy; father and mother-in-law, T.G. and Nell White; brothers-in-law, Melvin White, Bobby Williams, R.C. Leming and Warren Skinner, Jr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lucinda and Curt Wayman, of Sweetwater; grandson, Cory Wayman and his fiance, Charissa Cardin; and granddaughter, Holly Wayman. She is also survived by her brother, Keith (Donna) Mincy; sisters, Kathy (Donny) Matthews, Linda Skinner, Wanda Parham, Karen (Gary) Walker and Barbara (Charles) Wolfe; sisters-in-law, Gena Williams, Phyllis Leming; brothers-in-law, Rev. Bill (Helen) White, Larry (Phyllis) White, Charles (Lois) White; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to especially thank the nurses and staff at Wood Village Nursing Home for caring for her over the past 4 ½ years. The family will receive friends at Loudon Funeral Home on Thursday, November 16, from 5pm - 7pm, with funeral to follow at 7pm. Pastor Jon Henson and Rev. Bill White will be officiating. Burial will be 11am Friday, November 17, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Madisonville. Memorial contributions can be made to Blairland Baptist Church Building Fund, Loudon, TN.
