Wayne Hinds

Robert Wayne Hinds, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

He was a 1965 graduate of Loudon High School, a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired machinist with TVA. He was a very outgoing person that never met a stranger. He had a great sense of humor and loved conversation, fishing, growing vegetables, especially green beans and tomatoes. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Hinds; mother, Juanita (Broglin) Hinds; infant sister, Brenda Joyce Hinds and brother, Brian L. Hinds.

He is survived by his companion and caregiver, Jane Harvey of Lenoir City; son Brandon Hinds of Knoxville; stepchildren, Stacie and Rhonda; sisters, Sue Presley (Larry) of Loudon, Sharon Best (David) of Philadelphia; nephews, Keith Presley and Jason West; nieces Crystal Durman, Kelley Leming, and Shellece Hinds; beloved Aunt Wilma; Uncle Larry, several cousins of this area and Ohio; and special friends Butch Cash, Horace Bradshaw and Thomas Frye.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Dewayne Leming officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Wayne’s memory, to the charity of your choice.
