Wanda A. McCulley, age 77 of Loudon went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. She served as secretary and treasurer of Sweetwater Church of the Nazarene for over 30 years. She also taught children's Sunday School for several years. Known as “Wannie” by the many children that she enjoyed babysitting over a 30+ year span of time.
Wanda is preceded in death by parents, Joe H. and Myrtle Hartsell Amburn; Sister, Ernestine Snyder; Brothers, Charles Amburn, Hartsell Amburn, Bill Amburn, Jim Amburn, Eddie Amburn, and infant twin Wayne Amburn; Mother and Father in law, Alma and T.A. McCulley. She is survived by husband of 58 years, Allen McCulley; Children, Paula Stockton and husband Eddie, Tom McCulley and wife Brenda, Rhonda Chadwick, Jason McCulley and wife Amanda, Kristie Atwell and husband John; Grandchildren, Alexa Crowley and husband Kevin, Jason McCulley Jr. and wife Sunni, Hartsell McCulley, Joshua McCulley, John John Atwell, Gabriel Atwell, Olivia McCulley, and Micah McCulley; Great Grandchildren, Ian and Kaidan Crowley, Chris, Kyler, and Warren McCulley; Siblings, Floyd Amburn and wife Viva Gay, Clyde Amburn and wife Linda, Josie Currier and husband Wayne, Jane Amburn, and Jean Amburn; Sisters in law, Shirley Amburn, and Bobbie Amburn; Wanda is also survived by a host of several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 5-7 PM in the chapel of Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Clarence Hogg and Rev. David Smith officiating. The graveside service will be on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Loudon County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Gideons International P.O. Box 140800 Nashville, TN 37214-0800 or Sweetwater Church of the Nazarene 247 Old Highway 11, Sweetwater, TN 37874. Loudon Funeral Home and Cremations is in charge of the arrangements.
