Violet Holt

Violet "Tootie" Galyon Holt of Loudon, TN passed away on October 29th, 2018 at Ft Loudon Medical Center. She was born in Tennessee on October 15th, 1931, daughter of George and Pearl (Foster) Galyon. She had resided in Loudon, Tennessee all of her life. Violet was retired from OakRidge Laboratory after 45 years of service. After retirement, Violet worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer and also worked as a tax preparer privately in her home.

Violet was an active member of Blairland Baptist Church since 1957 and loved everyone. Violet was an active member with her class from Loudon High school with gatherings and reunions. Violet was active in her community and neighborhood and always would assist with funeral flowers and graveside flowers. Violet would attend gatherings and reunions for Galyon family regularly.

Violet was preceeded in death by her husband of 54 years Earl C Holt, adopted daughter Patsy Chrisman, sister Frances Gaylon Sitzlar (Herbert Sitzlar) and brother Paul Galyon (Eva Galyon) and great-nephew, Andrew Cunningham.

Violet was survived by adopted daughter Annette Tullock and 3 grandchildren Ryan, Holden and Kaila, sister-in-law Mary Collins, nieces and nephews, Phyllis Sitzlar Ward (Ronald Ward), Theda Sitzlar Pippin Michael (Randall Michael and ex husband Barry Pippin) Connie Sitzlar Cunningham (Mike Cunningham) and Lisa Sitzlar Beach (Brad Beach), Agnes Holt Morgan, Gena Galyon Taylor(Tommy Taylor), DeeDee Galyon Oran, Butch Oodey and Denny Galyon. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews and their families. Great Nephews survived are Corey Ward, Jeremy Ward (Karri Ward)Barry Pippin (Brandy Pippin), Anthony Pippin (Stephanie Pippin), Brad Cunningham (Erica Cunningham) Nathan Beach (Heather Beach). Great Nieces survived Becky Ward, Lindsey Pippin, Nicole Cunningham Kippenbrock (Scott Kippenbrock) Violet was also survived by special friend, Bud George. Many loved friends, neighbors and church members were also survived.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 12-2pm at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2pm with Pastor Jon Henson officiating. Graveside service will follow at Loudon County Memorial Gardens.
