Verna Thompson

Verna M. (Cooper) Thompson, 81 of Loudon, passed away Thursday evening, February 2, 2017. Preceded in death by husband, Elmer Thompson; parents, James and Nancy Cooper; sisters, Evelyn and Nancy; and brother, Clayton. Survivors: son, Houston and Georgiella Thompson; grandson, Chad and Lisa Thompson; great grandchildren, Alyssa and Aiden; brothers, JD, David and William; sisters, Alice and Henrietta; sisters-in-law, Barbara, Mildred, Alice and Helen; brother-in-law Robert and Virginia Thompson; sister-in-law, Mary Brogden; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 7:00 pm Sunday, Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Kirkland officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 am Monday, at Pine Grove Cemetery, in Greenback, for graveside service. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 Sunday, prior to the funeral service.
