Tony Wayne “Slim” Sitzlar went to be with God on February 5, 2026. He was a beloved father and a valued member of his community. Tony had a kind heart and a deep love for his family and friends.

He was well known for his musicianship and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Forrestal. During his service, he was awarded two Purple Hearts for saving his shipmates.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Allmon Sitzlar; his father, Henry Bell Sitzlar; his brother, Jerry Sitzlar; and two nephews.

He is survived by his three daughters, Toni Sitzlar Kirkland, Lydia Sitzlar, and Cherith Sitzlar; his nephew, Chris Sitzlar; four grandchildren; and one great-nephew. He also leaves behind his girlfriend, Sharon, along with her daughter and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loudon Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
