Shirley Harrill

Shirley F. Harrill, age 77 of Sweetwater, gained her Heavenly wings on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Shirley spent her life serving others. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a lifelong member of Cedar Valley Baptist Church. She retired from Thomas and Betts in Athens after 36 years. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; Pete and Bertha Ballard, brothers; Charles Ballard, Pete Ballard Jr., and Tony Ballard.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Tom Harrill, children; Iva Burnette and husband Dennis, Mike Reynolds, Virgil Reynolds and wife Linda, Jeff Harrill and wife Christie, grandchildren; Beth Makowski and husband Kyle, Chris Burnette and wife Stephanie, Jessica Reynolds, Jared Reynolds and wife Anna, Tony Reynolds and wife Regina, Lexie Goodson, Tyler Harrill, and Isaiah Harrill, 10 great-grandchildren, special friends; Evelyn Howard, Louise Lowe, and Betty Allen,  several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 5-7pm at Loudon Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Joel Tilson and Rev. Jeff Meyers officiating. Graveside service will be Wednesday, November 29, 2023, 2pm at Cedar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.
