Richard Davis Sampson III, age 64, of Loudon, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2026. He was a graduate of Loudon High School and retired from Webb and Sons Construction. Richard was a member of First Baptist Church of Philadelphia. He was a bluegrass musician who played several instruments and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and motorcycles. He was also a devoted Tennessee Vols fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Sampson Jr.; grandparents, Richard and Edna Sampson; and Stanley Davis.

He is survived by his daughters, Chelsie Ward (Andrew) and Carley Flanagan (Josh); parents, Michael and Judy Webb; grandchildren, Mason and Weston Ward; brothers, Randall Sampson (Royal), Rodney Webb (Becky), Reid Webb, and Ryan Webb (Robin); aunts, Jane Sampson and Judy Jones (PJ); along with extended family and special friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 4:00–6:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Philadelphia. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Brian Courtney officiating. The graveside service will be held Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 2:00PM at Corinth Cemetery.
