Raymond E. McJunkins

Raymond E. McJunkins, age93, passed away Wednesday morning, September 20, 2023 with his family at his side. He retired from Y-12 in Oak Ridge after 38 years 2 months and 29 days of service. He was a bi-vocational Pastor for many years and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church until his death. He had a lifelong love of gospel music and sang in several groups.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Craig McJunkins and Ellard McJunkins; his wife of 55 years, Lola Ruth McJunkins; son, Ricky McJunkins; and granddaughter, Mandie Haun. He is survived by his daughters, Ramagene Barnes (Chico) and Lori McJunkins (Rob Guinn); sister, Edna Smith; his grandchildren, Marcy, Misty, Dustin, Haily and Stacia; and his great grandchildren, Noah, Tyler, Keelan, Kylie,Marannah, Skyler, Silas, Lavender, Eli and Leuh.

The graveside service will be 1:00 pm Friday, September 22, 2023 at Corinth Cemetery with Rev. Brian Courtney officiating.
