Raymond Lawrence Brown Sr., age 80, of Lenoir City, previously of Loudon, passed away on December 29, 2025. He was a Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal recipient and a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving as a Sergeant (E-5) Tank Commander. He was also an Orange Heart Medal recipient. Raymond loved bowling.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Brown; his parents, Clarence and Dorothy Brown; his brothers, Clarence Brown Jr., Robert Brown, Kenneth Brown, and Douglas Brown; his sisters, Evelyn Hurst and Francis Lawson; and his grandson, Elijah Crumley.
He is survived by his son, Raymond Brown Jr. and wife Grace; his daughter, Dottie Baskette and husband Alex; daughter-in-law, Katie Brown; grandchildren, Brion Crumley Jr. and wife Junie, Karrie Crumley, Hailey Crumley and Stuart Chandler, Shayla Trout and husband Richie, Chris Brown and Jessica Sifuentes, Michael Brown, and Samuel Brown; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Josiah, Kaizlyn, Jazmine, and Bella; his sister, Brenda McCray; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Loudon Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (Lyons View).
