Peggy Wisham

Peggy Brooks Wisham, age 75 of Knoxville, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, March 4, 2018. Peggy was born and raised in Thomaston, Georgia, but lived in East Tennessee for the last 47 years. She played basketball in high school, was a majorette with the marching band and was involved in multiple school clubs. She had an Associates Degree from the University of Tennessee. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Bearden, where she also worked in the school system and their after school program for 27 years. The last 20 years of her time was spent as a receptionist for First Choice Automotive, where she worked tirelessly from the first day it opened. She loved reading, doing crafts, going to church and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Nellie Brooks and her brother, Robert Brooks. Peggy is survived by her sons, Mark and wife, Leigh Ann Wisham and Jason Wisham; grandchildren, Savannah, Eli, Lexie and Isabella Wisham. Special thank you to Parkwest Medical Center 3rd floor nurses and staff. Funeral service will be 2:30pm Wednesday at Loudon Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Union Fork Creek Cemetery. Rev. Mark Hester will be officiating. The family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:30 Wednesday, prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flower, the family requests donations be made to Diversicare of Oak Ridge, where Peggy enjoyed the last six years of her life.
