Norman Wilhelm LaVigne, 72, passed away on August 12, 2025. He was born on July 16, 1953, in Ludwigsburg, Germany.
Norman spent 25 years as an engineer before transitioning to a 15-year career as a Special Education teacher. A proud Army veteran, he carried the values of service, discipline, and hard work throughout his life. He loved building and repairing things around the house, gardening, fishing, and camping.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Joseph LaVigne, and his mother, Anna Elisabeth (Frank) LaVigne.
Norman is survived by his wife, Pamela Jean LaVigne; daughters, Stacey Riles of Killeen, TX, Andrea (Matthew) Irwin of Spring Hill, TN, and Sara Robinson of Merriam, KS; grandchildren, Shayna Cook, Amarria Cook, Brooklyn Irwin, Ethan Irwin, Brandon Irwin, Tianna Robinson, Sage Tyler, and Alex Robinson; sisters, Sylvia Burgamy, Karen (Mike) Everett, Patty LaVigne, Desiree (Charles) Roan, and Angie Mitchell, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 8:30AM at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Gov John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville TN 37920.
