Nell Buchanan

Nell Harper Buchanan, age 77 of Loudon, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018. Nell retired from Viskase after 32 years of service. She loved to cook and share her cooking and She loved gardening and painting. During the holidays she enjoyed making apple stack cakes and candy. Ms. Buchanan is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Harper and Easter Goforth Harper; and siblings, Max, Russ, Gene, Charles, G.C., Ruth, Blanche, Francis, Evelyn, Stella, Dorothy, Shirley and Betty. She is survived by her children; Terry Buchanan Carpenter and husband,Tim, Frank Rebbie Buchanan, Kimberly Buchanan Tucker and husband, Rick and Steve Buchanan and wife ,Carol Ann; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by siblings, Tim Harper, Kat Miller, Herbert Harper, Pat Harper, Bonnie Wear, Helen Cole, Dan Harper and Boyd Harper. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 3:00-5:00pm at Loudon Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 5:00pm with Pastor Jon Henson officiating.
