Mitchell Allen Martin, age 76, of Loudon, passed away at home on July 3, 2026, surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 4, 1949, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, and was raised in Claiborne County, Tennessee.
Mitchell enjoyed being a handyman, whittling, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Herbert Martin and Hannah Loretta (Adkins) Martin, and his sister, Elizabeth (Martin) Yeary.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Lee (Green) Martin; son, Andrew Martin and wife, Ann; daughter, Beth Allmon and husband, Tim; grandchildren, Trey Allmon and girlfriend, Savannah Haynes; Hannah Allmon and boyfriend, David Parmer; Tyler Allmon; Chris Martin; Gregg Smith and girlfriend, Ally Free; and Jennifer Battle and husband, Sam Battle; great-grandchildren, Astrid, Olliver, Artemis Smith, Lily and Jaden Parmer, Dennis Allmon, and Evie Battle, with two more great-grandchildren on the way. Mitchell also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
