Mike Yates

Mike Yates, age 59 of Nashville, TN, formally of Loudon, TN, passed away and entered his heavenly home October 7, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Loudon High School in 1975 with a successful football career #72 and continued on with a football scholarship to Vanderbilt University. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruben & Mrytal (Rose) Yates, Joe & Jessie (Jenkins) Robinson, parents, Ray & Joetta (Barger) Yates, sister, Debbie (Yates) Starritt, father& mother-in-law, Bill & Edith Bogle, sister-in-law JoAnn. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 35 years Susie (Watson), precious daughter, Cheryl Loyd and Love of his Life granddaughter, Ava Marie Loyd all of Nashville. Sister, Judy (Tim) Dixon, nephews, Nick (Jamie) Dixon, Brandon (Lacy) Dixon, niece Jennifer (Tony) Costner, and many loving great-nephew and nieces, uncles, aunts & extended family and friends. A special "Thank You" to Alive Hospice in Nashville for the loving care and support. A Celebration of Life in His Honor will be held for family & friends on October 23, 2016 at 2 P.M. at Loudon High School Football Field.
