K. Michael “Mike” Bivens, age 73 of Loudon, TN, went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and kindness. He was a faithful member and deacon of Blairland Baptist Church.
Mike grew up and lived in Loudon his entire life. He attended Loudon High School, where he played on the 1969 State Championship football team. He worked at Carboloy for over 20 years.
Mike was a wonderful husband to Tonya. She was his entire world. Through all of his trials, he was always more concerned about her and how she was doing.
He was an amazing dad to his two sons. He was incredibly selfless and made sure they had what they needed before he had what he needed, always going the extra mile to take care of them.
Mike was a supportive and caring “Pop” to his grandchildren and great-grandchild. There wasn’t a school event, recital, basketball game, football game, graduation, or birthday that he didn’t show up for. He was so proud of each and every one of them.
He was a thoughtful brother. Mike was the oldest of three and stepped up when his father passed, becoming their support system. That’s just who he was.
Mike loved watching Tennessee sports, picking the guitar, golfing, telling hilarious jokes, cooking, and most of all, spending time with his loved ones. He will be remembered for his kindness, supportive nature, joyfulness, and loving heart.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Tonya Bivens; son, Blake Bivens and wife Lana McKinney; daughter-in-law, Leslie Bivens; grandchildren, Lucas Bivens, Blair Bivens, J.D. Thaxton, Kaitlyn McKinney, and Landon McKinney; great-grandson, Zamarion; brothers, Danny Bivens and Paul Bivens and wife Brenda; along with several nieces and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lois Bivens; and his son, Michael Bivens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blairland Baptist Church.
