Martha Catherine Stafford passed away peacefully on February 16, 2024.Martha was born on February 27, 1932 in Giles County, Tennessee to William Luther and Ruby Claire Cooper Felker. She resided in Stockton Valley, Tennessee with her husband, Gene, until his passing. Together they raised six children on their family farm. A farm where they would later gather every Sunday after church for lunch with their many grandchildren and great grandchildren.Martha was a dedicated member of Stockton Valley Baptist Church, and regardless of the church event, you could always find her in “her” spot on her favorite pew. She most enjoyed doting on her large family and many dear friends, perfecting her beautiful yard, and preparing food for anyone in the community that needed a home cooked meal. Martha was blessed to spend her last year at Morning Pointe of Athens in her room with a view where she was loved on by the staff, and where she made many good friends. 

Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Stafford and son, Larry Stafford. Her parents William Luther and Ruby Claire Cooper Felker, brother Glen Felker, and sisters Joyce Miles, Anna B. Mize, and Geraldine Leaf. Martha is survived by her daughter Jane (Richard) Cunningham, sons Don (Nancy) Stafford, Michael (Mary Lynn) Stafford, Bill (Jody) Stafford, Charles (Jenny) Stafford, and her daughter-in-law Ann Stafford. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren Jennifer Pinkston, Joshua Stafford, Kelly McGraw, Kerrie Cunningham, Brent Stafford, Emily Perry, Tyler Stafford, Aubrey Kilby, Ross Stafford, Laura Roberts, Rachel Kraft, and Elizabeth Crowder as well as her 26 great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Loudon Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Tony Brock and Rev. Tim Watson officiating. The graveside service will be 11am on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Loudon County Memorial Gardens.
