Lydia Ann Gibby

Lydia Ann Mason Gibby, age 74 of Sweetwater went to be with her Lord on September 12, 2026. She was a long time member of Reed Springs Baptist Church of Philadelphia, where she attended for many years. She helped with the PK class for several years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Van Gibby, parents, Martin and Ethel Reynolds Mason, sisters, Leranda Kerr and Margaret Clark, brothers-in-law, Anderson (Red) Clark, Homer-Lee Alexander, and Wayne Kerr, nephew, Michael Mason.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Gibby; granddaughter, April Gibby, all of Sweetwater; Tyler and Colton Walters of Sweetwater, who have been special blessings in her life; sisters, Tammy Mason of Sweetwater and Nina Moore (Charlie) of Philadelphia; brothers, Charles Mason (Linda) of Sweetwater and James Mason (Nancy) of Madisonville; nephews, Benny, Tony, and Robin Clark and Dewayne Mason; special nieces, Amy, Laura, Nette, and Crystal; and other special blessings in her life, Natalie Coleman, Tommie Haun, Becky Kitts, Lisa Troop, Don and Donna Prichett, Becky Sledge, and Mike and Sherry Jones.The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Kristina Grimes, N.P., and her nurse, Christian, as well as Dr. Lawrence James, Dr. George Newman, and Dr. Robert Martyn, for their care.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 11:00AM at Reed Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Mason and Pastor Steve McDonald officiating.
