In Loving memory of Lucy Katheryn Russell.

Lucy Katheryn Russell went home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2025, at 10:31 AM, surrounded by her family and friends. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter very deeply. She also loved her church and was a devoted member of Clay Hill Baptist Church of Athens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Oley Russell; parents, Herman and Nellie Renner; her siblings, Wanda Frankline, Joann Wayman, and Doug Renner; and her son, Mark Russell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Lisa Wattenbarger (Bruce); her sons, James Russell and Jerry Russell (Stacy); eight granddaughters, three grandsons, and one special great-granddaughter, Sabrina LeAnn Calkins. She is also survived by very special friends, Renea Mitchell and her children, Dawn and Joseph Lynn Davis, as well as Lisa Jones.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Loudon Funeral Home in Loudon, TN. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Simpson Cemetery.
