Lori Ann McDowell

Lori McDowell, 50, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, surrounded by family.

She was born in Dowagiac, Michigan, to Phillip and Mickey Crossgrove.

Lori was a woman who found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved traveling, getting lost in a good book, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her warmth, strength, and caring spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jack McDowell; her children, Andrew & Nicole Rumzie, Stephanie & Wesley Crowder, and Jack McDowell Jr.; granddaughter, Faith Erickson; her mother, Mickey Crossgrove; her siblings, Rebecca & Shawn Swihart, and Oscar & Paula Moore; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank & Flora Moore and Alice Crossgrove; and her father, Phillip Crossgrove.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love she gave so freely and the memories she created with those closest to her.

There will be a Celebration of Life to take place at a later date.
