Lorene D. Houston

Lorene Hart Houston, age 94 of Loudon went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.  Lorene was a 50 year member and Past Matron of O.E.S Lenoir 188.  She was also a longtime member of Corinth Baptist Church.  Lorene loved working out in her yard, especially her flower bed.  

Lorene was preceded in death by husbands, Eugene Houston and Gordon Moore; Parents, Homer and Harriet Hart; Siblings, Dallas Hart, Betty Arden, Mary Melton, Gladys Hart, Robert Hart, Alvin Hart, and Roy Hart. She is survived by children, Mary Alice Brewster and husband Ronnie, Brenda Bunch and husband Farron, and Sherry Houston/Harper and husband James; Grandchildren, Chad Brewster and wife Kellie, Randy Brewster and wife Erika, Jennifer Mathews and husband Terry, Keith Dyer and wife Wendy, and Jeff Holloway; 12 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; Brothers, Gene Hart and wife Sue, Jimmy Hart and wife Judy, and Virgil Hart and wife Pat; Special and longtime friend, Gary Fagg;  Lorene is also survived by a host of extended family and friends.  

The family would also like to thank Adoration Hospice for the excellent care that they gave to the family.  

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 5-7PM in the chapel of Loudon Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 7PM with Chaplain Tyrone Johnson and Chad Brewster officiating.  The graveside service will be on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 11AM at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
