Lavonda Blankenship

Lavonda "Punkin" Blankenship, age 63, passed away Friday March 30, 2018 at Parkwest Medical Center. Punkin was born in 1954, and was a lifelong resident of Loudon County. She is preceded in death by her parents; Son and Mary Simpson, by two brothers; Jerry "Baldie" Simpson and Freddy Ray Worley. She is survived by a sister; Pat Harp of Loudon, by nephews; Christopher Harp of Loudon and Brian Simpson of Georgia. She is also survived by special friends; Dennis Lemons, Larry Russell, and Shirley Spoon who loved Punkin like a sister. A funeral service will be held 7pm Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Loudon Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Brown officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Dogwood Cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends 5pm - 7pm Tuesday, prior to the service at Loudon Funeral Home. www.loudonfuneralhome.net
