Larry Edward Russell

Larry Edward Russell, 78, of the Piney Community of Loudon, went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2026.

He was of Methodist faith. He was a 1966 graduate of Loudon High School and obtained his certification of dental technology in Atlanta, Georgia. He was employed at Maremont for many years and retired from CVS Distribution Center.

Larry loved all Vol sports, bowling, and watching auto-racing. Fishing was a lifelong adventure he enjoyed with his Daddy Jess Akins and his Dad, Billie Russell. Gardening gave him much pleasure. He was adored by his sisters and their families.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents, Billie Ed and Christine Russell; his daughter-in-law, Dedra; and his grandson, Christopher Damian Russell.

Larry is survived by his sons, Bryan Russell and Chris Russell; his sisters, their husbands, and their daughters: Billie Jean Nicholson and Angela; Carolyn and Tim Harper and Marian and Jessica; Joan and Mike Brackett and Amy (Josh) Gifford; his aunt, Kaye Akins Wallace. Also left to mourn his passing are Larry and Barbara’s extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to help with funeral arrangements.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
