Kenny D. Everett, age 87 of Loudon, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026. Kenny was a graduate of Loudon High School before serving in the Army National Guard. He worked at Viskase for 43 years, where he enjoyed his time as a powerhouse operator. He served as President of Foothills Federal Credit Union for several years. One of Kenny’s passions was officiating basketball games. After a 30-year career, he was inducted into the ABOA (Athens Basketball Officials Association) Hall of Fame. One of his proudest accomplishments as an official was calling seven State Championship games. Kenny loved all things sports, especially anything Loudon Redskins, and anything his grandkids were playing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Margaret Everett; siblings, Luther Everett, Raymond “Bottle” Everett, and Lila Simerly; Step son, Sergeant Chris Jenkins.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 34 years, Faye Everett; children, Kent Everett and wife Lori, Angie Houston and husband C.B., and Missy Smith and husband Dan; grandchildren, Aaron Everett, Ben Everett, Emily Bunn, Clay Jenkins, Brody Houston, Blaine Houston, Chloee Jenkins, Jaxson Smith, and Gabe Smith; 8 great-grandchildren. Kenny is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Fellowship Baptist Church Missions.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lenoir City, with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Josh Gerwitz and Rev. Eddie Chasteen officiating. The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Steekee Cemetery.
