Johnny Blankenship

Johnny W. Blankenship, 91 of Loudon, TN passed away July 1, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He retired from Maremont and was a member for 63 years and deacon of Lakeside Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Blankenship and Susie Cagle; wife, Mabel Ruth Houston; several brothers and sisters. Survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce & Brenda Blankenship, Dickie & Becky Blankenship, Tommy & Paula Blankenship, Doug & Rhonda Blankenship, and Joseph Blankenship; daughters and son-in-law, Becky & Butch Haney, and Lori, of the home; sister, Benita Fox, of Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. Special caretakers and friends, Cyndi Dempsey and Melody Shaver. Funeral service will be 3:30 P.M. Thursday at Lakeside Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Watson, Rev. Carl Croft, and Rev. Robert D. Moore officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Loudon County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
