John William ‘Jay Bird’ Moore

John William ‘Jay Bird’ Moore, age 79, of Loudon passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

Jay Bird loved woodworking and gardening. He had a talent for creating, whether shaping wood or gardening. He found joy in watching things grow. He was a veteran of the U.S Navy.

He is preceded in death by his parents and five sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Moore; sons, Timothy J. Moore and Jesse Allen Moore; daughters, Christina Marie (Moore) Hart and husband, Jonathan, and Tracy Ann (Moore) Stade; brother, R.C. Moore and wife, Janice; grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and extended family.
