Jimmie Curtis

Jimmie Lawrence Curtis, age 87 of Madisonville, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Jimmie was from Loudon. He was born on December 17, 1936. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Jimmie was the owner of Curtis Paving. 

Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife, Rozetta Bidwell Curtis; parents, Lawrence Deforest and Erma Millsaps Curtis. He is survived by son, Rev. Tony Curtis and wife Teresa; daughter, Sandra Schrimsher and husband, Tony; brother, Ralph “Butch” Curtis; grandchildren, Dustin Schrimsher, Kendall Schrimsher, Chanda Curtis, Chasen Curtis, and Chamon Curtis; great-grandchildren, Chloe Schrimsher, Laykann Schrimsher, Presley Schrimsher, Gray Schrimsher, Dakota Love, Abram Curtis, Ellie Curtis, Axel Curtis; friends, Carol Deaton and Atticus Peltier; several nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 4:00 -7:00 pm at Loudon Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Bill White and Rev. Randy Humphrey officiating. Graveside service will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11:00 am at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
