Jesse Mack Lawhon

Jesse “Bear” Lawhon, age 77 of Loudon, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 25, 2023 surrounded by family. He was a member of Tennessee Chapel Baptist Church and was a deacon for many years. He retired from Yale Securities. Jesse loved fishing, farming, Atlanta Braves baseball, and Tennessee sports.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Betty Mae Lawhon. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Lawhon; children, Tammy Stephens and husband Steve, Jeff Lawhon and wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Whitney Stephens, Jessica Allmond, and Baylie Lawhon; great-grandchildren, Ivee Rhea Allmond and Mack Allmond; brother, Ray Lawhon; sisters, Sissy Moore, Lola Guilott and Ruby McLemore; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 5-7pm at Loudon Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Neil Turner and Rev. Kenny Clinton officiating. Graveside will be Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 11am at Tennessee Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
