James "Jr" Lane

James “Jr” Lane, age 80, of Loudon, passed away on September 1, 2026. He dedicated many years of his life to serving his community. Jr worked at Y-12 for 29 years as a firefighter and also served with Loudon County EMS and the Loudon County Sheriff’s Department. He was a lifetime member of the Loudon County Rescue Squad. He enjoyed camping and being on the water. He was the President of Loudon Quarterback Club for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Ralph Lane Sr. and Geraldine Isbill Lane; brother, Randy Lane; sister, Sharon White; and nephews, Travis Lane and Bobby Lewis.

Jr is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deborah Arnold Lane; daughter, Nicole Lane Crisp and husband Jeff; sons, Brian Lane and Robbie Lane and wife Trish; grandchildren, Hannah Crisp Dudley and husband Will, Jackson Lane and wife Athena, Joshua Lane, Gabriel Lane, Morgan Crisp, Nicholas Lane, Henry Lane, and Gibbs Lane; great-grandson, Thorin Lane; sister, Gail Lane Curry and husband Danny; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 5:00-7:00PM at Loudon Funeral Home, the funeral service will follow at 7:00PM with Elder Ricky Wiggins officiating. The graveside service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 10:00AM at Loudon County Memorial Gardens.
