James Isaac Lawson, age 57, of Loudon, passed away on May 19, 2025.
A lifelong resident of Loudon, James was a graduate of Loudon High School. He was a talented mechanic and a dedicated entrepreneur who owned and operated several businesses throughout his life. Known for his strong work ethic, James was a man who believed in the value of hard work and personal responsibility.
Above all, James was a devoted family man—strict, but always fair. He served as a Cub Scout leader for many years, instilling in young minds the importance of self-reliance, discipline, and caring for one’s family. His leadership and guidance left a lasting impact on many.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Lawson and Doris Cross; his brother, Billy Lawson; and sisters, Kellie Abert and Beth Tillman.
He is survived by his sons, Ericc Lawson (Paige) and Joshua Lawson (Megan); his brother, Eddie Lawson; several grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews who will carry on his legacy.
James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
