James E. Hunt, age 76, of Loudon, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024. James served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He retired from the City of Loudon. He was a member and deacon of Nelson Street Missionary Baptist Church. He loved farming on his land in Piney.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Inez Hunt; and sister, Annette Harris. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hunt; sons, Lee Hunt and wife Nino, and Keith Hunt; grandson, Aaron Hunt and brother, Kenneth Hunt.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Loudon Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Bill Freeman officiating. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Danny Thornburg will officiate. Military Honors provided by Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard.
