James Reece “J.R.” Carroll, Jr. age 82, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. He was a lifelong member of Ponders Old Time gospel Church, where he served as song leader and Deacon.
J.R. was preceded in death by his wife, Addie; parents, James Reece, Sr. and Sally Kate Clower Carroll; and his brothers, Paul, Lloyd, Curtis and Bunk. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for J.R. will be at 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Ponders Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral service at Midway Church of God Cemetery.
