Issac “Harlan” Jenkins passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Fort Loudoun Medical Center.
He was a loving husband and father who cared deeply for his family and friends. He was a Christian who enjoyed old-time preaching and gospel music.
Known by many as “Jawman,” he made friends across the country over the years through his time in the Air Force, drag racing, work, and turkey shoots.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Irene Jenkins (Nicholson); his mother, Arizona Jenkins; his father, Coyle Jenkins; his sister, Jewel Hensley; his nephew, Dustin Hamil; brothers-in-law Richard Hensley and Richard Hamil and good friends Sam Johnson and Burle Steele.
He is survived by his grandson and caretaker, Colten Jenkins Jones; his son, Jeff Jenkins; his daughter, Penny Jones; his grandchildren, Zach Jenkins, Cade Jones, and Camden Jones; his brother, Gary Jenkins and wife, Sherry; his sister, Carolyn Hamil; his sister-in-law, Brenda Blankenship and husband, Bruce; his nephews, Todd Jenkins, Greg and Ricky Hensley, and Mike Hamil; his niece, Tammy Long; and good friends Bud Townsend and Charlie Bettis.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Gary Cook officiating. The graveside service will be held Friday, May 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery.
