Gary Shirk

Gary R. Shirk, age 66 of Loudon, passed suddenly on Thursday, January 27, 2022. He had a love for the river whether he was fishing or walking the banks. He was always picking the guitar. He loved all of his many animals over the years. He is preceded in death by his parents; William “Dub” and Geneva “G” Shirk, grandson, Shaun Collins, sisters; Patrina Walker, Patricia Cowart, and Brenda Cunningham. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carol Shirk, children; Charity Collins and husband Chris, Stephanie Glass and husband Terry, grandchildren; Brandon Shirk and wife Katie, Samantha Hill and husband Cody, Cody Glass, Crey Collins, great-grandchildren; Bray and Kensley Shirk, sister; Lisa Bridges and husband Jim, brother, Bill Shirk and wife Melissa, several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home for assistance with the funeral expenses.  The family will receive friends Monday, January 31, 2022 from 5-7pm at Loudon Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7pm.
