Floyd Alexander Carter, age 80, of Loudon, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 27, 2026. He attended First Baptist Church of Philadelphia. He was a mechanic and owned Carter's Automotive Repair. He loved dirt track racing, NASCAR, and Tennessee sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Martha Carter; brothers, James Thomas Carter and Carl Jones Carter Jr.; sisters, Arneda Carter, Geneva Lou Carter, Dorothy Delaney, and Jennie Katherine Carter; and two infant brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Carter; sons, Chris Robinson and wife Christy, Karl Carter and wife Lauren, and Nickolas Carter and wife Amanda; sister, Wanda Carter; grandchildren, Tish Nazario and husband Frank, Erik Robinson and wife Holly, Ashton Robinson (Roger Lapham), Lucas Carter and wife April, Patrick Carter and wife Chelsea, Bram Carter, Daniel Carter, Case Carter, and Georgia Carter; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Loudon Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 with Pastor Steven Smith officiating. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Morganton Cemetery.
