Evelyn Deloris Kirkland, age 94, of Loudon, passed away on January 30, 2026, in her home of more than 70 years, where she raised her five children and, with great delight, welcomed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an excellent homemaker and a strong Christian woman who taught all of her children the love of the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Glada Brandon Wrinn; father, Fred Everett Wrinn; brothers, Alfred H. Wrinn Sr. and Donald E. Wrinn; stepmother, Belva Clemmer Wrinn; and half-sisters, Vonthella Wrinn, Arvella Wrinn, and Ora Ruth Wrinn.
She is survived by her daughters, Melinda Kirkland, Sarah Chaney (David) and Emilie Givens (Steve); sons David Kirkland (Tina) and Timothy Kirkland; half-sister Alzena Wrinn Abernathy; five grandchildren, Joshua (Leida), Jeremy (Natasha), Erin, Cody (Carley), and Johanna (Alan); step-grandson, Blakley; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the members of Loudon United Methodist Church, especially Linda Goble and Sally Nichols, for their friendship and many years of visits.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Missions Fund at Loudon United Methodist Church.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Corinth Cemetery.
