BETTIS, ELLIS R. "BUD" - 87 of Philadelphia, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Sweetwater Hospital. Mr. Bettis retired from Siler Brother's Lumber Co. after 40 years as a truck driver. He was a born again child of God and loved hard preaching & blue grass gospel music. Preceded in death by wife, Mary Ethel Lance Bettis; parents, Tom & Artie Nipper Bettis; brothers, Alex & Everett Bettis; sister & brother in law, Lillie & Charles Richards. Survivors: children & spouses, Hubert & Della Bettis, Niota, Linda & Charles Mason, Sweetwater, Etta & Billy Wallace, Niota, Wayne Bettis, Philadelphia, Doris & Mike Ingram, Sweetwater; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters in law, Marie & Sis Bettis; nieces & nephews.
