Edward Claude Whitmore, of Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady C. and Ruth (England) Whitmore; wife, Alva Whitmore; and grandson, Scott Bennett. Survived by daughter, Vickie (David) Bennett; grandchildren, Richard Gass, Robbie Bennett and Mark Bennett; great grandchildren, Amanda, Alexander, and Katlyn Gass, Portlyn Bennett, Eastin Bennett and Ashlyn Bennett; great great grandchildren, Caroline, Alexander and Peyton Gass; sister, Leola Garland and brother, Xeno Whitmore; brothers, David Whitmore and Glenn Whitmore. Family and friends will meet at Lakeside Cemetery, in Vonore, on Monday, May 15, 2017 for 1:00 pm graveside service; Rev. Gary Cook officiating. Interment will follow the service. Loudon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
