Dwight Leonard Poe

Philadelphia

Dwight Leonard Poe, age 81 of Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church in Philadelphia. He retired from Hubbell and spent his life farming. 


He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Elja Poe, brothers, Harold, Jim, and Gary Poe, sister, Earlene Whorley.


He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sherry Smallen Poe, sons, Leon and Donna Poe of Sweetwater, Trevor Poe and wife Brandy of Philadelphia, Dustin Poe and wife Mandy of Philadelphia, grandchildren, Tyler, Cheyenne, Hunter, Austin, Peyton, Olivia, Bo Williams, special granddaughter, Parker Williams, great-grandchild, Carson, sisters, Wilma Edgemon and husband R.W., and Reva Whorley of Goode VA, several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.


Graveside service will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 2pm at New Hope Cemetery in Philadelphia, TN. Military Honors will be provided by Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard with Rev. Joe Guyer officiating.
