Listen to Obituary

Deloris Deane Kiser passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on the evening of January 13, 2026. Born at home in Loudon County on January 1, 1934, Deane was the youngest of four born to Luther and Vaul Stewart, and just celebrated her 92nd birthday on New Year’s Day. She led a life of deep love and devotion to her family and her Lord.

Deane was a graduate of Loudon High School in 1952 and spent her working life in healthcare in Loudon and Knoxville. However, by far her greatest amount of time, love, and passion was invested in her family and her church. She was a devoted wife to Lon for 56 years and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Deane’s capacity for unconditional love was unlimited and simply expanded with the arrival of each grandchild and great-grandchild. She adored them all! Deane read and taught the Bible to her children from an early age and modeled service to the Lord’s church, first at Reed Springs Baptist, then Blairland Baptist, and finally Westpark Baptist. She especially loved serving in church music worship. She was a talented pianist and organist and, from early in her Christian life, was involved in Gospel quartets and choirs.

Deane loved to praise her Lord with music!

Deane was preceded in death by her husband, Lon; her parents, Luther and Vaul Stewart; her sister, Nellie Schrimsher; and her brother, Ray Stewart.

Her surviving family, who will cherish her memory and her legacy of love, include her dear and beloved sister, Betty McKenzie; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Mickey Williams; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Teresa Kiser; grandchildren, Bridget (Shane) Johnson, Brad (Sherri) Williams, Seth Kiser, Sarah (Wes) Roach, and Lindsey (Nolan) Blevins; and great-grandchildren, Sage, Winston, Lucille, River, Aspen, Logan, and Gabby. Loved and missed by all!

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Blairland Baptist Church sanctuary. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with John Henson officiating. Graveside services will immediately follow at Loudon County Memorial Gardens. Loudon Funeral Home and Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
