Roy “Dean” Johnson, 75, of Paint Rock, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026. He was a loving husband, brother, father, and friend, but first and foremost, he was a son of our Holy Father. He was an avid gardener. He and his wife, Sharon, canned vegetables and ran a produce stand in Lenoir City. He loved talking with his best friend, Charles Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Margaret Johnson, and his daughter, Bridgett Pearson.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Sharon Johnson; children, Melissa (Mike) Maynard, Christy (Chris) Tucker, Michael (Sara) Johnson, Jarvis (Brenda) Stinnett, Amanda (Jason) Waugh; son-in-law, Brian Pearson; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and brothers, Ray (Marilyn), Virgil, and Randall Johnson.
Thank you to Covenant Hospice and nurse Kimberly, who made this time special and peaceful. Many thanks to everyone who prayed, called, texted, brought food, and supported our family during this time.
The graveside service will be held at Church in the Wildwood on Monday, May 11, at 2:00 PM.
