David Vineyard

David Preston Vineyard, 80 of Sweetwater, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara North Vineyard; parents, James P. and Sophie (Tuck) Vineyard; daughter, Sherry Elisha Vineyard; sisters, Irene Ellison, Elsie Campbell, Margaret Digsby, Patricia Ferguson; and brothers, James Earl Vineyard and Bill Vineyard. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, David Paul and Debbie Vineyard, of Loudon; grandsons, Joshua Vineyard, of Vonore and Philip Vineyard, of Sweetwater; great granddaughter, Aubree Vineyard, of Loudon; sister, Elizabeth Wright, of Ringgold, GA; special niece and nephew and caregivers, Jim and Geneva Riden; a host of other loving nieces and nephews; special "daughter" Cathy Byers; and his best friend and four legged companion, Peanut. Funeral service 1:00 pm Saturday, Loudon Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following in West View Cemetery, in Sweetwater; Rev. Charles Cassady officiating. The family will receive friends 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, prior to the funeral service. Loudon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
