David Lee Barnard, age 66 of Philadelphia, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2026. He owned Barnard Construction for many years and attended Norris High School. He loved rodeos and horse shows with his girls and tractor rides with his boys and had a special love for old trucks and race cars. He was the most kind and giving man a person could ever meet, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for others. He loved his family and especially treasured time with his children and grandchildren. He would do anything for them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buford Raymond Barnard; his brother, Ed Barnard; his sister, Kay Williams; and his grandson, Mason Braun.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda “Gail” Barnard; his daughter, Tabatha Bowers, and her husband, Justin; his sons, Michael Barnard, and his wife, April; and Joel Martin; his grandchildren, Olivia, Braylee, Fisher, Finn, Jonah, Brandon, Mattie, and Tucker; his great-grandson, Carter; his mother, Irene Barnard; his brothers, Buford, Johnny, Jerry, and Joe Barnard; his sisters, Goldie Lay and Teresa Barnard; his former daughter-in-law, Marcia Barnard; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Jerry Walker officaiting. The graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m in Cedar Fork Cemetery.
