Listen to Obituary

Cynthia “Candy” Turpin, age 61, was called home by our Heavenly Father on October 12, 2026. Candy attended church at New Beginning Worship Center in Greenback, TN. She worked the majority of her life in the boat manufacturing industry.

Candy enjoyed spending time with her family, reading her Bible, and going out to eat. Before her health started deteriorating, she enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, her vines, and taking a peaceful drive to the lake and mountains. She loved sitting on a front porch swing, listening to the birds chirping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert “Elb” Bradshaw and Sarah (Butch) Moses.

She is survived by her sons, Brandon and Cody Spoon; her one and only grandson, Brandon Leroy Spoon, whom she loved with her whole heart; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna (Randy) Richesin, Janie (Ted) Pearson, and Melissa (Kenneth) Sorrow; and a very special aunt, JoAnn Beaty, whom Candy loved dearly. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with a special friend, R. W. Wilson.

In keeping with Candy’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Her family will honor her memory privately.

Though we all miss her deeply, we find comfort in knowing she has finished her race and is now walking hand in hand with Jesus in that special place.
