Listen to Obituary

Jewell “Colene” Troutman England of Loudon passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Colene was born December 19, 1942, in Knoxville, TN, and was a graduate of Karns High School. Before retiring, you could often find Colene at her business, Sun Drenched Tanning in Loudon, or on the weekends at the Sweetwater Flea Market, where she sold a variety of sports memorabilia, especially items featuring her favorite Tennessee Volunteers.

Colene accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending.

Colene fought breast and bone cancer for the last 16 years. She was a kind and caring person who always saw the good in everyone. She never missed an opportunity to share with others how good God had been to her. She loved reading, working crossword puzzles, her family, and most of all, her Lord. She will be remembered for her kindness, her love for her family, and her strong faith in God.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Maggie Ellis Troutman; brothers, Bernard Troutman and his wife, Peg Troutman, and Ken Troutman and his wife, Juanita Troutman; niece, Sheri Troutman Harris; and nephews, Sonny Thomas, Doug Troutman, Travis, and Jack Thomas.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and caregiver, Kim England; daughter Kelli Branam and husband, Rondel; special niece Vickie Thomas-Townsend and husband, Don; great-nieces Leann Godsey and husband, Jamie, Kinzley Thomas, Montana McGaha, Jessie Patterson and husband, Garrett, Wrenley McGaha, Swayze Patterson, and Leighton McGaha; great-nephews Christopher Thomas and wife, Nikki, Braden Thomas, Matthew McGaha and wife, Jordan, Wesley McGaha, and Cole McGaha; bonus grandchildren Marty Branam and wife, Emilee; and bonus great-grandson Levi.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 5:00-7:00pm at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00PM with Rev. Ronnie Davis and Rev. Clint Greene officiating. The graveside service will be Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 11:00am at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
