Christopher Eugene Murrell “Chris”

September 13, 1969 - August 13, 2024

Chris was a devoted and loving husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Chris was a member of Marble City Baptist Church in Knoxville. Chris passed away Tuesday, August 13th at Fort Loudon Medical Center after losing his battle to a chronic illness. 

He is preceded in death by his son, Brandon Eugene Murrell; Mother, Shirley Murrell; Father, Billy Murrell; Brother, Randy Murrell; Sister, Paula Renea Gilbert; and both maternal and paternal grandparents. 

He is survived by his wife, Brandi Murrell; Sons, Jakob Hompesch and Gage Murrell, both of Loudon. Son, Christopher Shane Murrell of Knoxville; Daughter, Samantha Marie Smith of Alabama; Daughter in law, Kayla Murrell of Corryington; Brother, Jacke Lynn Murrell of Knoxville; Mother an father in law, John and Sondai Russell of Loudon; Brother in law, Timothy Russell of Loudon; 7 grandchildren; aunts, uncles, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

There will be no funeral processions or memorial services, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
