Loudon

SGT Christopher Allen Jenkins, 48 of Loudon, TN. passed away February 3, 2022, while in the service of the Loudon County Sheriff's Office.  Chris is a 1992 graduate of Loudon High School and proud member of the Loudon Redskin football team, and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Chris served the citizens of Loudon County for 20 years at the LCSO.  A consummate professional, Chris loved being in law enforcement and the law enforcement family he worked with.  Over his career Chris served multiple positions at the LCSO as Corrections Deputy, Patrolman, and ultimately K9 Officer rising to the rank of Sergeant and Supervisor. Chris took great pride in being a father to his son Clay and daughter Chloee, spending time with the love of his life fiancée Kristi Ingram, her daughters Hannah and Delaney, and Kristi’s parents Bill and Becky Kirkland. Known for his contagious smile, witty and often curious sense of humor and strength to make fun of himself instead of others, Chris will truly be missed in the communities and families of Loudon County.  Chris never met a stranger, possessed enormous warmth, placed all others before himself and was loved by all.  Chris was blessed to enjoy so many close friends in his 48 years; his absence will be felt by all. Chris is proceeded in death by his K9 Partner Diego; grandparents: Luther and Lorene Scott, Ralph and Emma-Lou Drake; father, David Jenkins, cousins: Michelle Hutchinson and fellow LCSO Deputy Jason Scott, uncles: Estes Queener, Jerry Jenkins, Donnie Jenkins, Larry Jenkins, and Jr. Jenkins.

Chris is survived by his loving Mother Faye Everett and stepfather Kenny Everett of Lenoir City; son, Clay Jenkins; daughter, Chloee Jenkins of Loudon; fiancé Kristi Ingram and her daughters Hannah and Delaney Ingram; K9 partner Déjà vu; sister and brother-in-law, Melissa Smith (Dan Smith) of Greenback,  brother and sister-in-law(s): Kent and Lori Everett and family, Angie and Clinton Blue Houston and family, aunts and uncles: Larry and Jane Lane, Jerry and Naomi Scott, Nelda Queener, Jimmy and Caroline Scott; nephews, Jaxson Wyatt and Gabriel Luther Smith and many beloved cousins and extended family.

The family wishes a special thanks to their family at the Loudon County Sheriff's Office, Loudon County 911 Services, and all Loudon County Government agencies, there are too many names to list.  The family personally thanks Cas Long, Sheriff Tim Guider, Chief Deputy Jimmy Davis, Assistant Chief Deputy Tony Arden, LT Michael Watkins, LT Shane Ezell, SGT Matt Fagiana, SGT Chris Hutchens, CPL Zac Frye, Deputy Chance Gray and Paul Curtis for the love and closeness they have gifted the family through this ever so challenging time.
