Chester Watts

November 20, 1923 — August 12, 2017

Chester Weinfred "Floss" Watts, born November 20, 1923, departed this life August 12, 2017. He was a member and active deacon of Corinth Baptist Church. He was also a World War II Veteran, and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He worked as a mail carrier, served as a school board member and was a Loudon Funeral Home employee for many years. He is preceded in death by wife, Laura Bright Watts; parents, Oscar and Minnie Watts; brothers, Jim, Homer, Joe, and Tom; sisters, Effie Arley, RebaTinker and infant sister, Lellie Watts. Survived by brother-in-law, William Bright; sisters-in-law, Betty Bright, Tika Bright and Kathleen Bright; special caregivers Terry Bright and Caprice Lennex; special great nephew Drake Lennex; a host of nieces and nephews and many loving friends. Funeral service will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Arp officiating. Graveside service 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at Corinth Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard and the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Corinth Baptist Church or Corinth Cemetery Fund. 6100 Corinth Church Road, Loudon, TN. 37774. Loudon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
