Chester Watts

November 20, 1923 — August 12, 2017

Chester Weinfred "Floss" Watts, born November 20, 1923, departed this life August 12, 2017. He was a member and active deacon of Corinth Baptist Church. He was also a World War II Veteran, and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He worked as a mail carrier, served as a school board member and was a Loudon Funeral Home employee for many years. He is preceded in death by wife, Laura Bright Watts; parents, Oscar and Minnie Watts; brothers, Jim, Homer, Joe, and Tom; sisters, Effie Arley, RebaTinker and infant sister, Lellie Watts. Survived by brother-in-law, William Bright; sisters-in-law, Betty Bright, Tika Bright and Kathleen Bright; special caregivers Terry Bright and Caprice Lennex; special great nephew Drake Lennex; a host of nieces and nephews and many loving friends. Funeral service will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Arp officiating. Graveside service 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at Corinth Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard and the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Corinth Baptist Church or Corinth Cemetery Fund. 6100 Corinth Church Road, Loudon, TN. 37774.
